"Mini Turkey
Delights"
(Appetizer)
Ingredients:
12 ounces Ground Turkey, uncooked
1 Cup chopped Mushrooms
1/2 cup chopped
Onion
1 Tablespoon Vegtable
Oil
1/3 cup chopped Shelled Pistachios
1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Dried Oregano
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Black Ground Pepper
1 (17.25-oz.) Package Frozen Puff Pastry, thawed
1 egg yolk
Directions:
1. Saute turkey, mushrooms and onions in oil until turkey is
cooked and onion is tender.
2. Break turkey into small pieces.
3. Add pistachios, oregano, salt, pepper. Mix well.
4. Roll each sheet of pastry to 16 by 12-inches; cut into 12
squares (4 by 4 inches each).
5. Place about 1 rounded tablespoon filling on one side of
pastry square.
6. Moisten edges with water.
7. Fold in half to enclose filling; press firmly with fork to
seal.
8. Place on baking sheet.
9. Bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes. Cooking
Tip:
Before baking beat egg yolk and water together and brush
over pastries to give them a golden color.
Pastries can be prepared ahead to the point of baking and
refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
